How it begun
BD Global Academy began with a vision rooted in personal experience: to bring quality English-medium education to the children of Basti. Its founder, Er. Shyam Lal Chaudhary grew up in the region amid financial hardship. These early experiences helped him understand the challenges local families face in accessing good education.
The Academy honours his family’s roots and carries the name of his late mother, Smt. Bhanmati Devi. Together with her husband, Late Sri Haridwar Chaudhary, she strove, despite limited means, to educate as many of their children as possible. Their shared commitment left a lasting impression on him and inspired his belief that education can open doors and improve lives.
After retiring from government service as an Executive Engineer in Arunachal Pradesh, he dedicated the next chapter of his life to serving his community through education. He established the school with the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow in confidence and build a better future.
Today, Er. Shyam Lal continues to serve as Director of the Academy, working each day to strengthen the school and expand opportunities for its students. His commitment guides our purpose: to nurture capable, responsible young people and contribute to a brighter, better-educated Basti.
